'One of James Douglas' most popular Choral works, 'Visions of Glory' includes 12 choral pieces, each based on the words by Author: David Adam, former Rector of Holy Island or Lindisfarne, taken from his book: 'The Edge of Glory' (Published by SPCK / Triangle 1985). Each piece could be sung on its own as an Introit or Communion Anthem, or the whole book for a concert performance of some 21 minutes. Alternatively, each piece could be sung by a few voices (SATB) or by a large choir, with diverse parts written for all. This was recorded in 1990 by Caritas Voices and is one of the Caritas Label's best selling CD or Cassette ever. Many of James Douglas' other works have also been recorded on the Caritas label.' |
